Wine Fest

Well, those antibiotics are starting to do their stuff and I'm finally starting to not feel the need to sleep so much, so Mike and I decided to head to the Wine Fest in North East, PA after we finished our dinner last night. Actually, after dinner I curled up on the couch and attempted to take a nap, but Mike cajoled me to wake up and get ready to go. I was reluctant at first, but eventually thankful, because it was nice to get out on such a nice fall night. It seemed like there was a good turnout at the Wine Fest while we were there last night and the air out there smelled like grapes, which I've always loved. The only complaint about the festival is that our area wineries don't seem to produce any wine for the dry red lovers. If you are a fan of sweet whites and fruity blushes, then the wine fest is the place for you. My husband and I both prefer the dry reds, so we were pretty limited to just sampling cabernets at the different wine vendor tables because that was the only dry red most of them had. Overall, Mike and I had a good time, since it was so nice out and it was a lot of fun to do something a little different than just sleep!

I've always been partial to dry reds, especially Shiraz. I think Mike's come to prefer it since they're about the only kind I keep in the wine rack!
