Bad PSU and the Marathon Man
Another good weekend is behind us. The weather here was gorgeous and extremely welcome after the weather that the remainder of hurricane Frances blew through our area last weekend. Saturday night, Mike and I spent the evening at the Fox and the Hound crying into our beers as we watched Boston College smack Penn State around. I was really hoping after the Akron game that maybe this season would be different fr0m the past few, but unfortunately I think that is not the case. The only good thing about us having a poor season will be that hotel prices will drop when we all go to our annual football game. This year we chose a later game as opposed to an early one. We're going to the last game of the season at the end of November against Michigan State. Last year was a blast and this year we've rounded up a few more people and are making a few more plans regarding tailgating, so I think this year will only be even better.
Sunday, Mike and I went to watch our good friend and my old college roommate , Tony, run in the Presque Isle marathon down at the peninsula. It was interesting to watch, especially the people who cross the finish line puking. Tony, however, was not one of those people. He had his best time yet, 3 hours and 42 minutes. Mike and I think that Tony should be the focus of either a Nike commercial or a beer commercial. He ran a marathon, took a swim in the lake, and drank a Yuengling all before 11 am.
