PSU Traitor?
I, along with every other good Penn State football fan, am extremely relieved that PSU seems to almost have their act together this year and are actually winning for once. I don't think that's happened since I was a freshman at University Park. People have ceased talking about how Joe Pa should hang it up. PSU almost gave me a heartattack during the Northwestern game, but they pulled it out and they gave Minnesota a sound whuppin' last weekend. I'm really hoping they're going to kick the crap out of Ohio State on Saturday night.
However, I can't help feeling a little like a traitor. Every year, as you may already know, a bunch of us old PSU alums go to one football game and this year we have tickets to the Wisconsin game in November. A little part of me keeps thinking blasphemous thoughts such as, "Great, now that they're winning, the hotel room is going to cost an arm and a leg" or "I bet we could have had better seats if they weren't playing so well".
Overall though, I'm just psyched to head down to Happy Valley and get my drink on at the Rathskellar (pony cases, baby!) and wake up early the next morning and head down to Beaver Stadium to see a great game.
