I Love Monkey Business
I didn't really post much of anything in January because there really wasn't anything I wanted to post about. January 2005 was mostly comprised of three things: 1.) death 2.) sickness and germs 3.) work. After hearing that, I bet you're glad I didn't post anything, aren't you?
However, February 2005 is already off to a bang. February 1st was the birthday of our local gorilla, Rudy, who resides at the Erie Zoo. He turned 49 and is the oldest lowland gorilla who has ever lived in captivity. I thought that was pretty cool and apparently so did some other people because it made some national news. Mike's mom (who lives in New Jersey) called him that day and she had heard about it on their news down at the shore. She asked him if I was going to send Rudy a birthday card. When Mike told me she had asked that, I laughed and said she knew better than I thought, since that is exactly something I would do.
